SPRING LEAGUE GENERAL INFORMATION:
It is generally not recommended for new players to join for the first time during the Spring League. The Fall/Winter season is typically a better entry point, as teams are formed with greater focus on grouping players with similar skill levels and experience.
- This is primarily due to the smaller number of teams participating in the Spring League, which limits the number of divisions that can be created.
- With a shorter season of approximately ten (10) games, there is less opportunity to ensure teams are consistently matched against others of similar skill and experience.
- As a result, there can occasionally be significant score differentials during Spring League games, which may be frustrating for new players.
- In contrast, the Fall/Winter season includes more teams within each age group and division, allows for more time to appropriately place teams, and includes two seeding rounds to help ensure teams are competing at the appropriate level.
- For new players, regardless of age, the Fall/Winter season generally provides the best opportunity for development and overall enjoyment of the game.
